Courtney Smith is the author of two poetry collections.

Forest of Light is a collection of poetry, photos, and haiku honoring the light and beauty in nature and life. It is a salve for the heart yearning for respite in the natural world. Through imaginative and personal poems she inspires the reader to view nature and life in a new light, simply with gratitude, to occupy this space in time and to have the wild chance of experiencing it all.

Smith takes us on a charming ride through the seasons via haiku from spring to winter. Also, a photographer, her photos are sprinkled throughout, making this collection a visual delight.

Somewhere Dawn is Rising is Courtney’s second collection of poetry and haiku released in August, 2023.

With a touch of magical realism, Smith's poetry delves into the beauty and many facets of nature, life, and love. Throughout these pages you will also journey through seasonal haiku, weaving its way from spring to winter- an invitation to reflect on the often overlooked details of life within a year.

She is currently working on a third poetry collection to be released in August of 2025.
